Privacy Policy for FlagSherlock

This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile application FlagSherlock (the "App") handles information. By using the App you agree to the practices described here. FlagSherlock is a flag-guessing game and does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information.

Information we collect

We (the developer) do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you.

• Game data stored on your device only: Your high score, daily streak, games played, and whether you have seen the intro are saved locally on your device (using Android's DataStore). This information never leaves your device, is not sent to us, and is removed if you uninstall the App or use the in-app "Reset progress" option.
• No sign-in, no profile: The App has no login, no user accounts, and does not ask for your name, email, contacts, photos, or location.

Flag images

Flag images are loaded on demand from the third-party service flagcdn.com. As with any request to a web server, your device's IP address is necessarily visible to that service in order to deliver the image. We do not control and are not responsible for flagcdn.com's data practices.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

FlagSherlock is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob, a Google service. To provide and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process information such as:

• Device and advertising identifiers (e.g., the Android Advertising ID);
• Device information (device model, operating system, network information);
• General/approximate location inferred from IP address;
• Ad interaction data (impressions and clicks) for measurement and fraud prevention.

This data is collected by Google, not by us. Google may use it to provide personalized or non-personalized advertising in accordance with its own policies. You can reset your Android Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization at any time via Settings → Google → Ads on your device.

Children's privacy

FlagSherlock is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App shows ads via Google AdMob, please review Google's policies regarding ads and children if you allow a child to use the App.

Permissions

The App requests only network permissions (INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE), which are used to load flag images and to display ads.

Data retention and deletion

Because game data is stored only on your device, you can delete all of it at any time by using "Reset progress" in the App's Settings, by clearing the App's storage in Android Settings, or by uninstalling the App.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
